Los Angeles Productions Open November 9!
We are very excited to announce that the two Silver Medallion recipients in the Moss Hart & Kitty Carlisle Hart New Play Initiative will play in rotating rep from November 9 to December 16 at Grove Theater Center in Burbank, CA.
These plays were selected out of 1,243 submissions from 44 states and 5 countries! Then we named 21 Semi-Finalists, 8 Finalists, and 4 Bronze Medallion Winners.
The 4 selected plays were presented at 59E59 Theaters in NYC as part of the HartNPI Jeremy Nussbaum New Play Reading Series. And after that, these two were selected for productions in California! (And one of these plays will return to 59E59 Theaters for its Off-Broadway premiere in the Spring.)

Previews November 4 & 8
A young and ambitious reporter uncovers a compromising photo of the daughter of a candidate for president. An older colleague urges him to publish it immediately while the daughter and his conscience tell him to bury it. In the end, he must decide if it’s a legitimate story and whether such a distinction is even relevant for our multi-platform and relentless news cycles.

Previews on November 11 & 15
What do you do with the rest of your life, when someone you love has committed the horrific act of a school shooting? The Sadowski family, never able to explain the act, hold onto their own guilt, afraid that they might miss the signs again. Now the mother and surviving brother try to come together and save the next generation from the painful past.
Tickets for both plays go on sale October 10
We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank all 1,243 playwrights who submitted their scripts to our inaugural year!
And a special thank you to the other Bronze Medallion Recipients for helping to make our Jeremy Nussbaum New Play Reading Series at 59E59 Theaters such a success!
